Welcome to the New Testament Baptist Church of Inverness Florida. We would like to invite you to our services at 11:00 AM Sunday mornings. We are located at 1845 Croft Ave., Inverness, Florida. The New Testament Baptist Church of Inverness, Florida believes in the total sovereignty of God. We believe that God is in complete control of all things, he does not need man’s help in any of his works. God spoke the world into existence and has laid out his plan for all mankind that cannot be altered by the will of man.  We believe that our Father loves his children and watches over them and directs their footsteps throughout life with his perfect and absolute plan.

We are a church that believes in the teachings of the Bible and that the teachings can only be understood through the power of the Holy Spirit. We do not follow the teachings of the world or the traditions of man. We believe that God must be worship in Spirit and Truth and that there is no other way to worship God. Jesus Christ is the head of our Church and his teachings are the only way to worship God in Spirit and Truth. The purpose of the Church is to lift up God through his son Jesus Christ and place him first above all things. We do not lift up man or try to make man equal with God.

We believe that God is in complete control of our salvation. Jesus Christ is our Shepard and we are his sheep. He calls us into his flock and leads us into his pasture.  We do not place any faith in man’s work, only God’s. By grace we are saved and not through any work that man must or can do. We believe in the total predestinated will of God.  God is never wrong and always perfect. We believe that whatever God does cannot be altered and that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We believe that only a true church can worship God in Spirit and truth. The Holy Spirit was only given to the Church on the day of Pentecost and was only delivered once to the Church. We believe that a Church must have authority and cannot just start from nowhere and must be chain linked to the first Church at Jerusalem. The Spirit has been passed from church to church since the day of Pentecost through church authority.  Our Church received its authority or commission from the New Testament Baptist Church of Huntsville, Alabama in June 1977.

We believe that God is love and that there is no fear in love. We do not preach that man has to do anything to receive God’s love or keep it. God does not strike the fear of heaven or hell into his children in order for them to love or worship him. We believe nothing can separate us from the love of our Father; especially there is nothing we can do to separate us from his love. As children, we all make mistakes and come up short, but God’s grace and love will keep us until he calls us home to be with him forever in his kingdom.
